On your sport…

How long have you played? What inspired you to play?

I've played basketball since I was in first grade. I was inspired to play by my father.

Where is your favorite place to play?

My favorite place to play is in the Akron U Rec Center

What is your favorite number? Why?

My favorite number is 3 because I'm my parent's 3rd child.

Who is the best player you’ve played WITH and AGAINST?

With: Raymar Morgan (Michigan St.), and Against: Greg Oden (NBA-Portland Trailblazers)

Do you have a pre-game ritual? If so, what is it?

I like to be on the court an hour and fifteen minutes before the game starts. So 2 hours before the game I get in the hot tub and get treatment, after that I listen to music until it’s time for me to hit the court.

What is the worst experienced you’ve had? What did you learn from it?

The worst experience I've had was losing in the district finals my senior year, after winning districts the two previous years.

Have you ever had an injury while performing your sport?

Since I've been in college I've had to get stitches over both eyes, had 2 concussions, pulled my hamstring, and have had heart failure.

What do you consider as your greatest accomplishment?

My greatest accomplishment was becoming the all-time leading scorer at my high school.

What is your most memorable moment? Why?

My most memorable moment was getting to play in my first Akron vs. Kent State game my freshman year.

How has your sport helped you become who you are today?

Playing basketball has helped my character develop. It has helped me become a hard worker in all aspects of my life instead of just on the basketball court.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

In my spare time I listen to alot of music, read a couple books, and of course I find time for some xbox.

I'm left handed. I play guitar. I type 127 words per minute.

What is your favorite part about college?

Meeting new and interesting people everyday.

Who is the most influential person you’ve met? Why?

LeBron James. He gave a whole city something to believe in, and went on to become a global icon.

What do you value the most?

My relationships with my family and friends.

What is your major? Why did you choose it?

Sport management. I chose this because I want to use the gifts that I've been given in the world of sport, whether that's helping people negotiate contracts or helping kids get to the next level.

Outside of your sport, what are your visions/goals in life?

I want to be able to help young men get to the next step in life, either by being a coach or a mentor.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years I see myself coaching basketball...still not sure at what level.
