How long have you played? What inspired you to play?

I have been playing since I was 5 years old. I started in a small recreational league however it was in middle school where I began to play for the love of the game rather than just for fun. My inspiration for basketball came from the support of my family and their continuous encouragement.

Where is your favorite place to play?

My favorite place to play is at home in my driveway.
What is your favorite number? Why?
My favorite number is 22 however I don’t have a reason. It was first given to me in middle school and I have had it ever since.
Who is the best player you’ve played WITH and AGAINST?
My sister Paige Benson (Current HS Standout), and Candace Parker (WNBA-Los Angeles Sparks) at the Adidas All-American Classic.
Do you have a pre-game ritual? If so, what is it?
Yes, I’m always the last person to enter and exit the locker room.
Have you ever had an injury while performing your sport?
Yes, I had a concussion.
What do you consider as your greatest accomplishment?
Playing women’s basketball at the collegiate level for a Division I school.
What is your most memorable moment? Why?
Defeating Xavier University two years in a row while playing for the University of Cincinnati.
How has your sport helped you become who you are today?
I don’t quit.

My mother and father because they are my foundation and my loyal support.

Hearing, Speech, and Language Sciences (Speech Pathology).
Outside of your sport, what are your visions/goals in life?
I want to become a speech pathologist and work with stroke victims and deaf children in hospitals.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I will have my masters and will be well into my career or I will be playing professional basketball.
